what is the CySEC Advanced certification examination and why prepare live-online?

The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) is the responsible authority for overseeing and supervising all investment services offered in and from Cyprus. CySEC’s main priorities are to ensure investor protection and the smooth operation of the market. Therefore, professionals operating within the investment services industry, must have the required knowledge to execute their duties and responsibilities with competence.


The CySEC Advanced examination has been established to confirm a candidate’s knowledge of the CySEC regulatory framework and is the most in-demand certification in the industry in Cyprus. Furthemore, the CySEC Advanced syllabus (last revised in 2021) is broken down into 14 chapters, each covering a key topic within CySEC’s regulation. Since Cyprus is a European Union (EU) Member State, CySEC is required to transpose all Directives imposed by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA). Hence, candidates successfully passing the CySEC Advanced exam will also understand critical aspects of European investment services regulation. 


Moreover, successful CySEC Advanced exam candidates become Certified Persons and are qualified to offer a variety of services including investment advice, portfolio management, dealing on own account, and reception, transmission, and execution of orders. This increases their chances of securing a position or being promoted within:
